Dear Parents of Children in Year 6,
Not long to go now, and rehearsals for our year 6 production
‘Skool Daze’ are coming along nicely. The performance of this
to parents will be on Sunday 22nd June at 6pm in the
school hall. There is a lot going on this week, with the
pantomime performances on Sunday and Monday at 6.60pm, book fair
all week in the central area, speech day and prize-giving on
Tuesday and meeting the new teachers on Wednesday. We continue
with rehearsals and prop making this week.

English |
Spellings:
Children will be given a set of spellings focusing on
commonly misspelled words.
During Literacy lessons the children will
practice and perform for our year six end of year
performance.
Big Writing
Pupils will write a piece of work on
a particular genre that is relevant to their learning.
Homework
The children will have lines to learn
for our Year six performance. |

Arabic |
This week we are going to revise the work
we have covered and read stories. The students will
have to write the story they have learnt in their words.

Maths |
Perimeter, area, calculation and problem
solving
·
Carry out column addition and subtraction
of numbers involving decimals.

Calculate the perimeter and area of
simple compound shapes that can be split into
rectangles.
Identify and use the appropriate
operations (including combinations of operations) to
solve word problems involving numbers and quantities and
explain methods and reasoning. |

Science/History/Geography |
Science
In science this week, , we will continue
to set the children focussed tasks relating to areas of
weakness that may have been highlighted.
History
In History this week we will continue to
look at the era of the Ancient Greek civilization, and
continue with art and DT projects related to the era.
