Dear Parents of Children in
Year 2,
The following information has
been provided in order to fully inform you of the areas your
child will be studying
in the coming week.

English |
Please learn all spelling words as this will be used
during lessons in class. Children will make use of the
dictionary to find the meaning of words and use them in
sentences.
This week we will have a book fair at school. This will
be held in Central area in KS2. Children will be allowed
to visit the book fair and purchase books.

Arabic |
This week we are going to revise the work we have
covered and read stories. We are going to read letters
with short and long vowels, and do some spelling
activities.
|
|
Maths |
This week we will be doing revision of all work done
thus far. Children will be revising various topics on
their workbook. Example addition, subtraction,
multiplication, division, shapes, time, capacity and
money. |
|
Science/History/Geography |
Topics for this term have been completed. Children will
continue with the completion of the “Seaside Scene”.
On Sunday, children will be allowed to watch the dress
rehearsal of the Pantomime. Parents are welcome to the
show which will be held on Sunday and Monday(15th
June and 16th June) from 6.30-8.00pm.

On
Tuesday(17th of June) we will have our assembly
celebrations. All parents are welcome.
On
Wednesday(18th of June) learners will be meeting
their new teachers for the new school year. They will
be
spending an hour and half in their new classroom.
Please do
not forget to learn you’re spelling words.
Please
encourage your child to wear a hat during breaks as it is
getting hotter everyday and please do not forget to bring in
your water bottle.

KS1 are allowed to buy cheese
mannish every Thursday plus a juice for 5 dhs. This will be our
last cheese mannish sale for the year.
