All of the science subjects have the same
aims, which are to:
Provide studies of experimental and practical
science so that pupils become confident citizens in a
technological world;
Enable students to recognize the usefulness,
limitations and applications of scientific thinking;
Develop attitudes of accuracy, precision,
objectivity, integrity, enquiry, initiative and inventiveness;
Stimulate an interest in, and care for, the
environment and to appreciate that science may be both
beneficial and detrimental to the environment.
Promote awareness that scientific theories and
methods have developed as a result of the cooperative activities
of groups and individuals.
All three subjects will be practically based
and experimental work is very important. The school has 3
well-equipped laboratories. One lab is mainly for Biology; one
for Chemistry and one is for Physics.
