Physical education is an
integral part of a child’s overall development. With this in
mind, the PE Department at AAESS has created a programme aimed
at encouraging our students to lead a healthy lifestyle. The
programme is varied, so that all students get a chance to play
different sports throughout the year. These include, among many
others, rugby, soccer, hockey, netball, basketball, athletics
and swimming. Good attitudes, fair play, integrity,
self-discipline and enjoyment of physical activity are all
attributes which are emphasized in the programme, and indeed, in
every PE lesson.
In addition to the PE programme provided for in the curriculum,
students will also participate in inter-house sports events,
inter-school competitions and overseas sports tours.
We understand that every student has his or her own level of
attainment, and so no effort has been spared to create a
programme that is flexible, interesting and individually
challenging.
We have an exciting year ahead of us so be sure to watch this
space for updates, news and information on upcoming events and
competitions! Any messages from the Department will also be
placed on this page.

Keeping in mind the high temperatures reached during the summer
season, it is highly recommended that all secondary students
attend PE lessons with hats, sun cream and large water bottles.
For Elementary students, it is compulsory to have these items,
and the students will not be allowed to take part in the lesson
without them. Many of the lessons will be held outdoors, and we
would like to see all students well prepared for them.
