15th June 2008
Dear
Parents,
It is
nearly the end of the school year and we have some special
treats this week as well as some very important assemblies. On
Wednesday some of the children will meet their new teacher and
for those children having a teacher new to the school they will
be meeting the other children in their class.
Just to
remind you that in the Reception Year children are expected to
be at school for the start of the first lesson at 8 o’clock and
stay in school until lessons finish at 2 o’clock.
I have
enjoyed teaching in the Nursery this year; the children have
been lovely to work with, they have made so much progress and
are ready to move on to their new classes.
Thank
you for all your support this year.
Here
are some of the activities we will be doing this week.

Dear Parents
This is our last Nursery paths- I would like to

successful year.
A REMINDER

Thursday 19th June your
child is in school by 7.50am,
we need enough time to change them into their costumes.
Jolly Phonics
Our last two Jolly phonics letters this week are
the letters “x” and “qu”. X as in x-ray, xylophone. We will be
also learning the x sound that come at the end of words such as
box, fox, six and mix. Our song is “Ks Ks take an x ray”. The
action for the song- pretend to take an x-ray with an x-ray
camera and say ks, ks, ks. The second sound is “qu” as in
queen, question, quiet and quilt. The song is- “The ducks in the
pond go Quack, Quack Quack”. The action is-
make a duck's beak with your hands and say qu, qu,
qu.
