The study of Drama is
demanding, stimulating and highly rewarding. Pupils cover a
range of learning activities including the exploration of plays
and social issues, creating theatre, performing improvised and
scripted work and the analysis of theatre as a whole.
The Drama department's main aim is to empower students with
confidence and fluent communication skills. We aim to raise
standards in English through the teaching of Drama, by creating
contexts for speaking and listening, as well as providing
purpose and focus for critical reading, interpretation and
analysis. Written work in Drama focuses on the exploration and
evaluation of dramatic activities. .
Key Stage 3
During Key Stage 3, students

allow them to analyse situations from different viewpoints.
